Zhang was born on 22 March, 1984 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei, From 1996 to 2002. She later moved to Beijing. Miss Zilin attended the University of Science & Technology and has a degree in Business Administration. Zhang is now working as a fashion model.
Zhang lent her voice for the 2008 Summer Olympics soundtrack and also appeared in the music video for the same song entitled “Beijing Welcomes You”.
